Thank you so much for your interest in leading a trip with Ma’wa Collective. Since we’ve established our travel group in February 2023, our community has grown immensely and to meet the current interest and demand in joining one of our adventures we’re excited to start onboarding new individuals to help plan and lead future trips inshaAllah 🌿

Basic Qualifications:

• Based in the US or Canada
• Valid Drivers License and has a car (or willing to rent a car for a weekend)
• Strong organizational experiences (i.e. in trip planning or on various events)
• Ability to delegate and coordinate large groups of people
• Strong communicator and leadership skills
• Being adaptable and flexible to accommodate changes in planned itineraries, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances during the trip.
• Have experience traveling and in outdoor spaces (hiking, visiting national parks, etc..)
• Soft-skills: warm and welcoming to new participants and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred (not required) Qualifications:

• First Aid/CPR Certified or ability to complete the certification in early 2025
• Program management skills (ability to juggle different details with various logistics regarding transportation, accommodations, and planning agendas/itineraries)
• Have an eye for media (either responsible for capturing photos and videos for the trips or delegating to a member)

Expectations:

• Ability to commit to leading at least three weekend trips in 2025 (these can be either 2 or 3 night trips)
• Scoping, planning, and deciding the following details for a trip (dates, location, and group size)
